F.A.Q

  • Do we have to sign a contract?
    • I require a contract for all commercial commission work. I will write, and send it using Panda doc, where we both can sign it online. Feel free to read the example contract at the bottom of the page. The contract may be updated through the year, so make sure to read through it if you are a return customer as well. You can always ask if you have any questions.
  • How do I pay?
    • I require 50% upfront of the total payment. An invoice will be sent via PayPal. The remaining balance will be invoiced upon completion of the drawing. Make sure to give me the correct PayPal address.
  • How long does it take?
    • I typically require a minimum of 1 month to complete the work. More advanced project = More time. Due to current arm health, I do not do rush jobs. I work closely with each client and will show screenshots of each step of the process. From the gnarly first sketch to the complete drawing.
  • How will I receive the drawing?
    • I will send the digital painting with We-transfer after completed total payment. You will receive the file in jpg/png/CMYK depending on your wishes. I do not give out the clip studio file, but you are more than welcome to email and ask for any other file types, and I will export it free of charge.
    • Remember to save your drawing to your own computer when you receive it. I will keep your file for 6 months, but due to storage space it will be moved/deleted if necessary.
  • How do you share the art online?
  • Do you use AI?
    • No, and I never will. I started out on DeviantArt way back in 2006 and have been posting and sharing my art through the years on several sites. Feel free to check out my old children’s book portfolio:

(I do not illustrate complete books anymore)

  • How do you work?
    • I draw in a cell-shaded art style. Meaning, I don’t paint, but use a lot of flat colors and gradients. It’s the kind of art style one would typically see in an animated show. Sometimes I might use assets from the clip studio store to speed up the process, with assets such as rope and chains etc. I might use a 3D model to help with perspective and complicated objects such as a character on a motorcycle. You can check out what a clip studio asset is here https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9a9AvBA1Gs
  • Time-lapse videos of the process:

Always feel free to still ask if you have any questions!
